Join the Alabama Cycling Association for the 2026 Coaches Summit, a two-day in-person gathering designed to prepare coaches for the upcoming mountain bike race season. This summit is an opportunity for coaches to receive important training, connect with other team leaders, collaborate on best practices for mtb student-athlete development.

Program Details
ACA will present key information about the upcoming season, including important updates, expectations, race season details, and resources coaches need to support their teams. Coaches will also receive a walkthrough of the CCN online portal, including how to complete registration and manage required steps for the season.
ACA Presentation
MTB 201 expands on the concepts introduced in MTB 101, focusing on advanced skills instruction and athlete development. Coaches will learn strategies for guiding rider progression, adapting instruction to individual needs, and helping student-athletes grow in both technical ability and confidence.
MTB 201 Training
MTB 101 is an introductory skills coaching course that teaches coaches how to effectively instruct fundamental mountain biking techniques. Coaches will learn how to demonstrate skills, provide constructive feedback, and help student-athletes build confidence and develop a strong foundation on the bike.

First Aid & CPR Training
To provide greater accessibility for coaches across the state, First Aid/CPR certification training will not be offered during the Coaches Summit. Instead, the ACA will host several First Aid/CPR training opportunities at locations throughout Alabama during Fall 2026. Dates, times, and locations will be announced on social media and posted on this page as they become available. Watch ACA social media channels for updates and registration information.
