Getting More Kids on Bikes
The Alabama Cycling Association (ACA) is a 501(c)(3) youth development organization with a commitment to redefining what a youth sports program is all about. Our goal is to help middle school and high school kids achieve cross-country mountain biking skills in a safe and enjoyable environment. The ACA provides a spring semester race series of six races, a scholarship program, GRace (Girls Riding Alabama Biking), coach’s training and team clinics.

ACA Scholarship Program

Our goal is to raise a minimum of $50,000 with $25,000 going to the ACA/Shred for Sloan Scholarship Fund and the other $25,000 towards the ACA’s coaching programs, team clinics and race season. ACA Athletes will be able to apply for scholarships through an essay contest in April. The scholarship winners will be announced at the ACA State Championship Race at Tannehill Historic Park on May 5th, 2024. All ACA student athlete seniors are eligible by simply submitting an essay to www.shredforsloan.com or contact the ACA for more details.
